Non-Covered Part Cause of Loss*- In the event a Breakdown
occurs to a Covered Part under this Policy due to the failure of a
non-covered part, the Covered Part will be repaired (as an exception
to the standard exclusion). An example would be if the battery
(non-covered part) caused the alternator to fail. In this case, the
alternator would be covered, but the battery would not as it is a
non-covered part. The cost for this coverage is only $30.00.
Covered Part Cause of Loss*- In the event a Breakdown
occurs to a non-covered part under this Policy due to the failure of
a Covered Part, the non-covered part will be repaired as an
exception to the standard exclusion. An example would be if the
alternator (a covered part) caused the battery (non-covered part) to
fail. In this case, the battery would also be covered. The cost for
this coverage is only $30.00.
Emissions Coverage*- In the event a Breakdown occurs
due to the failure of an emission component (except for catalytic
converters, exhaust systems and carburetors), under this Policy this
option provides Coverage as an exception to the standard exclusion.
Examples of parts that fall under this coverage are oxygen sensors,
mass air flow sensors, anti-knock sensors and many others. The cost
for this coverage is only $50.00.
