Our most recent Customer Satisfaction Survey was sent to 9,895 customers. The response was overwhelming with a response rate of 37.6%.
The survey was quite simple. We asked a few open-ended questions. We chose this method so that we could obtain the best possible feedback without bias. Had we used a multiple choice type question or other popular survey methods, bias would have clearly shown itself.
Coverage -
Comprehensive
coverage was the most often cited reason why our customers chose Warranty Direct. Just over 68% of all respondents mentioned our coverage as the main reason for their purchase. The reasons most often mentioned were:
Shortest list of exclusions
Wear and tear failures being covered
Seals and gaskets coverage
No overheating exclusion
More coverage than dealer had

Customer Satisfaction - 62.4% or 2,321 people cited our record of providing excellent customer service. Most often mentioned were our Better Business Bureau report (only 3 complaints in the past 36 months), our WebAssured.com report, recommendations in over 35 automotive forums and partnerships with major automotive related web sites such as Edmunds.com and Kelley Blue Book. 6.8% or 253 customers specifically mentioned not being able to find any substantial customer complaints on the Internet.

Company Stability - 41.6% of our customers mentioned our company's longevity, over 26 years in business and the fact that our coverages are sold through car dealers and not only on the Internet as a major factor in their decision to choose Warranty Direct. 18.4% mentioned their state's regulatory/licensing agency as a determining factor in selecting Warranty Direct. 4.6% mentioned that being Dun & Bradstreet verified was a factor in their decision.

Previous Customer - 320 or 8.6% of those who responded are current or former Warranty Direct customers. Each month, over 6% of our sales are from previous customers. This is an ongoing source of pride for our staff.

71% of all respondents cited their interaction with a Warranty Direct Advisor as a major factor in their purchase decision. The most often used phrases were excellent product knowledge, industry knowledge, no high pressure sales techniques, enthusiastic, reassuring and helpful.

Each month, we survey every customer who filed a claim. The responses are always huge. For the year 2006, we have been able to increase our Customer Satisfaction Rate from 95.8% to 99.4%. We'll keep trying to reach 100%! Here are some comments from our customers.
